This may look just like a Banana J Tee Pee to your adult eye, but your child sees something completely different, their imagination is already running wild . . . . a place to hold secret club meetings . .  a substation on a strange planet . . a quiet spot to have a snack . . .a perfect spot for an afternoon nap . .  the possibilities are endless.


Banana J Tee Pees are fun for everyone.  Those little "newbies" love to make use of their new found freedom by crawling in and out, the "nearly ones" are keen to practice their hide and seek skills, toddlers and kindy kids are getting into the wonderful world of imaginary play and older children are just looking for a piece of their own real estate. Lets not forget about you . . .acting like a kid is a great feeling, the younger we feel, the younger we look!!



 
Tee Pees are one of the many great instruments found on this site that will engage your child in pretend play.  Pretend Play builds social and emotional skills and is an important factor in building self esteem.   It is amazing to watch your child realise they can be anything or anywhere just by pretending.  

Pretend Play also teaches language and thinking skills.  When they think you are not watching, you will  hear them say words that you didn't think they knew and oh no, see them do a perfect imitation of you - scary!

I have two little monsters that have tested your tee pee for the WOW  factor.  My little guys have also tested the tee pee for safety (they are boys so these tee pees have been put through the wringer - trust me).  I do not use wooden or metal polls for they could break, splinter and rust.  Not to mention, those wooden and metal poles are a bit heavy should it fall on a little ones head.

 



Banana J Tee Pees are a pentagon shape which provides heaps of play space, you will never know how many little Indians will be pow wowing inside.  Each side has a base measure of 100cm, with a pole length of 175cm.  The Tee Pees have an internal height and width of 140cm.

Banana J Tee Pee polls are made from plastic electrical PVC piping.  This material is flexible and lightweight, which will allow the smallest of toddler to move their tee pee into a new favorite play area.  

Your Tee Pee will come fully assembled, but should your tee pee need a wash, reassembling is as easy as 1,2,3! Slide the poles into their sleeves, thread the string through the top holes, and fan the poles out.  When the day is done, the Tee Pee closes up the fun and slide under the bed or store away in the closet, 
ready for the next great adventure!

When thinking of young children, the word “messy” comes to mind and what is great about these tee pees are that they can be washed - 100%.  Being made from cotton, your tee pee can be thrown in the machine and hung out to dry, but like all fine things, spot cleaning will extend its life

Look for medium to lightweight fabric that has a width of 147cm -150cm and is 5 meters long. * If your fabric has horizontal stipes, and you want them to meet up (as shown), I will need 6 meters of fabric. No stretch or knits please
